In 2000, Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Managing Director, Daffodil Computers Ltd. initiated a program of an integrated pathway of academic institutions, dedicated to expanding access to education of an international standard of excellence. The academies, which educate young pupils from pre-primary to university, strive to create a harmonious balance between academic demands, sporting, cultural activities and community life.

Daffodil International School (DIS) is the Chain School sponsored by Daffodil Computers Ltd. that will be established very soon in 64 districts of Bangladesh where the British Curricula will be followed from Play Group to Std. V, National Curricula (English Version) will be followed from Class VI to HSC and in the City Corporation level,  the British curricula will be followed from Play Group to 'A' level.

DIS, Daffodil International School education aims to build on the foundation for learning that is laid down in the pre-compulsory years. The intellectual, moral, social and physical development of students is encouraged in inclusive, safe and stimulated learning environments with activities integrated across eight learning areas - Mathematics/Numeric, Science, English, The Arts, Technology & Enterprise, Society & Environment, Health & Physical Education and Language other than English. An emphasis is given on Mathematics/Numeric and English so that students can progress in the other learning areas.
